THE TROOP MEETING: PART SEVEN – CLOSING

“This is a quiet serious time where the Scouts should be paying attention. It may help to dim the lights and have everyone seated. Outstanding business, such as reminders for upcoming meetings or outings, should be dealt with before the Scoutmaster’s Minute. Scouts who have advanced since the last meeting should be recognized. Other than the Eagle Scout award, this is the best time to give a badge or rank earned, saving the certificates for a later court of honor. This is also a good time to praise Scouts for Good Turns, positive ethical decisions, and jobs well done.”
