THE TROOP MEETING: PART SEVEN – CLOSING
“The closing may also include a simple ceremony, a song, or a prayer.”
As reflected in the Troop Meeting Planning Form, Part 7 of the troop meeting consists of three parts: any final announcements, a leader’s minute, and then a closing ceremony. The following text is from the ceremonies section of Troop Program Resources, along with information as to where the troop leaders can access a library of closing ceremonies. The following photo is from an actual closing ceremony:
“Presenting a meaningful ceremony as a closing for the troop meeting serves to comfortably round out what has preceded. It also contributes to a consistent meeting structure. Ideas for a wide variety of closing ceremonies are found in the ceremonies section of Troop Program Resources.”
