THE TROOP MEETING: PART TWO – OPENING CEREMONY
“Part two of the troop meeting is the opening ceremony led by a patrol select in advance WHICH CAN BE LED BY THE SENIOR PATROL LEADER OR A PATROL SELECTED IN ADVANCE.
“An opening ceremony is important because it focuses the boys YOUTH on the reason they’re in Scouting.
The ceremony should be about five minutes in length and
reinforce the values of Scouting.”
