Action Point III: Provide an attractive resurgence of traditional outdoor skills throughout our movement, with an emphasis on putting them into action in ways that are fun, illustrating how they’re used, and providing an opportunity to rely upon them to complete a satisfying challenge. From an elevated vantage point, it can be ascertained that outdoor skills are one of Scouting’s major attractions. It would then follow, by impressively demonstrating their outdoor skill prowess in a public setting,Scouts BSA units could experience success in attracting and recruiting new members.
Promote the use of the How-to Video Resources featured in the Troop Leader Resource Hub, helping to assure the individuals (youth and adult) who are in the position to present these skills feel confident explaining, demonstrating, and sharing early rank-required and more advanced outdoor skills to troop members
